isgodmean.com is the website for Is God Mean?, the book and free video series by Chris Ulery. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what we do with it.
The short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it only for what you asked for, and we never sell it.
What we collect and why
- Email sign-ups. When you sign up for the free study guide, we collect your email address. It is kept by MailerLite, the email service we use. MailerLite sends you a confirmation email first, then the study guide and occasional updates about Is God Mean?, including when the book releases. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Contact form. When you send a message, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), and your message. It is emailed to us and stored in the website’s database so we can reply.
- Videos. The episode videos are hosted on YouTube. A video does not load until you press play; before that, you see a preview image, some of which come from YouTube’s servers. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information under Google’s own privacy policy.
- Security. Like most websites, our web host and our security software record technical details such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and to block attacks.
- Visitor statistics and ads. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found the site (for example, a search, YouTube, or social media). We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads and to show them to people who have visited the site. Both use cookies and similar technology and receive details such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Google and Meta handle that information under their own privacy policies. When you sign up for the study guide, the site notes that a sign-up happened, but never sends your email address to Google or Meta.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We don’t send your name, email address, or messages to Google or Meta.
Cookies
Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies to count visits and measure our ads. Our security software may set a small technical cookie to help block automated attacks, and YouTube may set cookies when you play a video.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you through our contact page.
- Limit tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, and change how Meta uses this information under Ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
